Michael Dallas passed his toughest test yet when he faced undefeated Lanard Lane. Like the best fighters in the world–Dallas believes you have to fight the best to BE the best.  He took on Lane without any doubts or concerns.  He stuck to his game plan masterfully and out-boxed, out-jabbed and out-smarted Lane. I could not be prouder!

I helped produce a huge charity event at The Beverly Hilton Hotel that raised over $125,000 for the Beit T’ Shuvah drug and alcohol rehab center in L.A.  Called “Knockout Addiction,” it matched Rabbi Mark Borovitz and Tom Arnold.  Many celebrity guests helped make the night a KO.

While in Detroit recently, I had the pleasure of “paying it forward” in a big way.  Twenty One years ago, I read about a little girl who had spina bifida and wanted a special bike for handicapped kids.  I met her and her fantastic mother Ellie Phillips, and I got her the bike.  Fast forward….Ellie learned of another child named Juan, who also has spina bifida and wanted a bike.  She brought it out of storage and we presented it to Juan.  I have never seen such a happy kid and my little granddaughter Jenna came along to learn at an early age how much better it is to give than to receive.

I am so thrilled that Michael Dallas moved to 13-0 with a dazzling 1st round KO of veteran Mexican boxer Genaro Trazancas.  The fight was at the Tachi Palace Casino and this was a great test for Michael.  It was his first scheduled 8-rounder and although it never got past the first round, Trazancas was a strong opponent who came into the fight with over 33 bouts under his belt.  From the opening bell, Michael was all over him, using his jab effectively and showing his speed and power.  Boxing fans and writers were raving about his progress and the fact that he is getting better and better with each fight. I am very proud of him!

The first time they met, Karim Mayfield beat Francisco Santana in a close fight.  There was nothing close about this one!  Karim cleaned his clock–stopping Santana in the 5th round. Jill Black, Robin Givens, and Jackie KallenJill Black and I flew to Washington, DC for the "Knock Out Abuse Against Women" fundraiser. What a great event! Robin Givens was the keynote speaker. She spoke of the abuse she endured while married to Mike Tyson.

Back to the Sixties!

Michael Dallas easily out-pointed, bloodied, and banged up Sergio De La Torre to get his 11th win.  He made it look like a sparring session as he boxed circles around the journeyman and dominated every round. It was his father/trainer’s birthday. A win is always a nice birthday gift.

What a great win for my sensational Junior Welterweight Michael Dallas.  In an impressive performance, he totally dominated and out-pointed previously undefeated Vincent Arroyo. He did, however, get cut when they clashed heads, but it will heal fast and he should be back in action by the end of October.  This was my granddaughter Jenna’s first fight and she loved it!!
